学位论文简介:
    In this thesis, the prediction of optimal change propagation path(s) in terms of a lead time is explored. The main work and innovation achievements of the research are
    1. Change propagation and the effect of initial change risk caused as a result of change requirement is explored in the presented research. New approach regarding prediction of the optimal change propagation path(s) in the product’s structure is introduced. This approach considered the overall risk of the change propagation to get the best results.
    2. During the product design and development process, it is not necessary that only one change requirement will be raised at a time. Therefore, multiple change requirement technique to evaluate the change propagation path(s) in a product design as a result of several change requirements is introduced in the presented research work.
    3. Management of the change requirements during the product design and development process is significant. Two different techniques, i.e., individual processing, and batch (group) processing are presented in the research work and the dominance of the batch processing with a proper sequence of the change requirements over individual processing has been observed.
    4. In this research work, a 7-step approach for exploring change propagation paths in the entire family is proposed. The results revealed that the proposed methodology provides a better opportunity for the manufacturer to deliver its product without delays and therefore, can capture maximum market shares.
